This popular but quite strenuous walk starts from Combe Martin's Car Park and follows public footpaths and quiet lanes, all with interesting names, Water Lane,Corner lane,Girt Lane and Shute Lane.The initial stretch is a steady climb to Great Hangman which marks the highest point of the South West Coast path - the origin of the name 'Hangman'.is uncertain. From here follow the coastal path with extensive views of of Wales and Lundy Island. |
