Two long distance walks cross at North Tawton, Tarka Trail & Devonshire Heartland Way , making it an ideal walking centre.

Walk 1

This very pleasant walk, most of it on footpaths, follows part of the Tarka Trail along the river Taw towards Bondleigh church.

Generally the paths are well signed and maintained but GPS us recommended turning off towards Langland Copse
.A small stretch through the copse can be quite muddy even in summer.
