Why GPS and which GPS system should I choose?
It seems that in many parts of Somerset footpaths in are very poorly marked, if at all! Perhaps previous signs have 'quietly' been disposed off by existing landowners.

All our walks can be downloaded for free in gpx format. Some pages include mmo files . If your Memory Map does not support gpx , use GPSBabel to convert the downloaded gpx into a mmo file.
OpenStreetMap New additions to our collection of walks feature routes using data from OpenStreetMap. These maps are generally far more up to date as they take into account any recent changes to paths and tracks. We will also endeavour to display stiles and gates.
