For the most part, the walk follows quiet country lanes through unspoilt landscapes offering some stunning vistas of Haldon.

Some busy roads are having to be crossed

It starts at Darts Farm,known for it's local Westcountry food & drink and coffee shop. It follows the Clyst and takes you inland through the charming village of Ebford boasting a magnificent Grade II* Listed Queen Anne manor house , Ebford Manor . The late Princess Dianna had connections with the Sheiling family who lived in this village; she famously cleaned the dishes and washed out a whole cupboard!

Clyst St George has been cut off from the main traffic and now enjoys a peaceful atmosphere,reminiscent of bygone days.
Just before the end, you pass The George and Dragon,a traditional country pub well worth a visit.
There are no steep climbs.
