This walk is quite strenuous with a steady climb out of Chudleigh past an old convent along the 'Orange Way' .

	William of Orange landed at Brixham and walked his men via Chudleigh en route to Exeter and London.

It follows more country lanes than public foot paths thus making it not a dog walk. Part of the footpath, near Ranscombe, can be quite tricky.
However, there are some very rewarding views and moments of utter tranquility walking through a most undisturbed part of Devon.
