Oxton House Kenton Vineyards |
Difficulty
Distance: 5.7 miles
Just a delightful and gentle walk ideal for spring or summer through pretty landscapes and woodlands. The lanes, in this sheltered part of devon, are fauna rich.
The route passes a public lane leading to Oxton House, once owned by the Rev and artist John Swete. Although the house is not open to the public, it's well worth making the 15 minutes detour.
The scenery next is ' of the most rural and fertile cast . Farmhouses peeping above their encompassing orchards...'
Towards the end the walk passes Kenton Vineyard.
