This pleasant walk follows part of the peaceful Grand Western Canal and explores the remote hills and fields around Sampford Peverell. You pass the mill and drained pond near Sampford Manor. It takes you into Uplowman which boast a popular pub,  the Redwoods Inn.Though stiles and kissingates are well maintained, the paths in some of the fields may be unclear - no problems with a gps. There is one steep climb. | |||
