Walk 1 Kenton Starcross (3.9 miles)

Overlooking the mouth of the Exe
Overlooking the mouth of the Exe

Railway WalkAn ideal circular Train Trail from Starcross Station

Difficulty

See the estuary and the sea stretch in front of you while you walk towards Starcross.

Part of the walk takes you through the Powderham Estate where deer graze serenely between the old oaks ;there is also shop and cafe.

This is one of our most popular walks and can be combined with a ferry trip from Exmouth.

There are two pubs in Starcross , the Galleon Inn and the Atmospheric Railway, named after Brunel's unsuccessful venture.
