Coast line ,Dawlish Air Show

An ideal pub walk (revised)

Although short, this walk is quite strenuous with a fair amount of climbing particularly along the coast . However, the views of Exmouth and the Jurassic Coast are quite stunning.

A Follow Old Teignmouth Road back towards Dawlish. Road becomes a footpath.

B Cross over into Coronation Road then almost immediately turn left onto a grass strip between houses and Teigmouth Road.
This doesn't look like a path but soon becomes more defined. In fact, you are following the Teignmouth & Dawlish Way.

C Cross residential road and take path into woods.
Turn right at end of path joining a pubic footpath.

D At junction with lane turn left into Oakhill Cross Road.Ater 280m where lane bends sharply ,turn right into service road which soon becomes a track.
Continue climbing ,ignore track on left and after 370m turn left onto a public footpath.
Turn left into Sweetbriar Lane then right.

E At T junction turn right into Holcombe Road
Holcombe ,a sheltered village with numerous thatched houses, boasts one very friendly pub,the Castle Inn which serves food as well. This could be a welcome relief?
Continue past church then left into Hall lane.

F When you join the main Dawlish to Teignmouth Road, turn left and continue along pavement for 160m. Cross road into Windward Lane the take footpath on left

G The walk follows a footpath along the coast passing a field reserved for watching the annual Dawlish Air Show.
